Major H.J.M. d' Assis Fonseca (1894-)
Honorio Jose Muschamp d'Assis Fonseca and Family .
Honorio Fonseca arrived in England from Rio de Janeiro on 13th November 1894. age one year, with his parents. He obtained a commision in the Duke of Wellington Regiment and served in Salonika during WW1 in the Machine Gun Corps. In 1924 he married Helen Vera Bingham-Hall and had four children. In 1941 he lived at 61 Osbourne road, Jesmond, Newcastle. He served in the 12th Battalion Newcastle Home Guard and was the Major o/c "D" Company. He was an Engineer in civilian life and was employed by Proctor and Gamble.
