2nd Lieutenant Henry Cademy 1891 - 1942

Henry Cademy was born in Dudley near Newcastle in 1891and served in the 5th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. During the early part of WW1 he was subjected to a gas attack and was invalided from the army . He suffered from the consequences of this for the rest of his life but still volunteered for the Home Guard in 1940. He was made a 2nd Lieutenant in the 5th Battalion Northumberland Home Guard, Newcastle Gosforth. He worked in the local coal mine and then for the local council. He lived at 14 Burnside Ave, Annitsford, Northumberland. He died in 1942.
